what size downpipe? I advise 2.5" if your going decat. My 3" is good for my future hybrid but in my opinion has allowed oil to be forced passed my turbo seals. Stock turbo designed for use with a cat

i wouldn't go any bigger than 2.5" myself. the standard turbo just doesn't need anything more.

a decat is simply removing the catalytic converter from an exhaust...resulting in minimum restriction, but the car will fail an MOT on emissions.
simply put, a catalytic converter (cat) is full of precious metals that cause a chemical reaction to occur when exhaust gas is passed through it (oxidation of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide, and the hydrocarbons aka unburnt fuel into carbon dioxide and water)
so basically, it lowers a cars emissions, but causes major restriction in the exhaust line.
a sports cat is a compromise between a decat and normal one. less restrictive than a stock one, but produces less emissions than a decat, so the car will still pass an MOT.
as for off the shelf systems, theres either the milltek or scorpion to choose from! hope this has helped![]()

From what I've heard miltek are bloody expensive considering the other options? Maybe just a custom back box could be a good alternative? Not sure.
MOT's are getting stricter and stricter, I've known people running decats who have had it passed from some garages. Even heard of people doing an emissions test on another car and just using the data for theirs with a decat, but i reckon now you would struggle to find a garage willing to risk it.
milltek is expensive in my opinion but i'm sure it's a great system. i'm going for a custom catback, but it isn't really much cheaper than the milltek.
