Power steering failure

Hi all, I had to replace my front subframe due to sheared bolt while trying to replace the front control arms but to do this I had to disconnect the steering rack. Everything is back together but I now have ZERO power steering. I understood only a new rack needs calibrating. I can’t drive it as it’s too heavy to move. Any ideas of what could cause the rack to fail just from disconnecting and reconnecting?
