Hello,

I have an Ibiza 6J (2008 1.4 16V 85HP BXW engine) and I'm having this error:

2 Faults FoundPower Steering Sensor (G250)
30-00 - Open or Short to Plus

My pump was repalced 6 months ago, but now 6 months later my steering is failing again...

Thank You!

Does the 6J have the same problems as the 6L??

When the battery starts to fail on the 6L it can cause tons of weird power steering issues, they all clear after a new battery is put on.

Replaced battery today without sucess.

The thing that concerns/worries me about this is that you've gone from an ABS setting to an non ABS.... If you're car had ABS before and with this new part you've lost it, that could cause problems...

I'm stabbing in the dark here but you never know, just trying to help. :)

ABS is working well.
The problem is not the coding, it's the pump, doesn't work at all doesn't even start...

Wire power directly to the pump and see if it activates if it does then that will mean it is most likely a wiring issue you can then start doing voltage drop tests to see where the issue lies. if it doesn't then the pump is gone and you'll probably still end up doing voltage drop tests to work out what is causing the pump to prematurely fail.

The pump shakes a bit, looks like it's loose (broken support?).
Could this cause the pump to fail?

Does your steering pump have that component in the rigth? Mine doesn't.

Another thing, does your car get water inside when you wash it?
In the corners?

There and in the other corner:
