im glad i work with him get to see it tomorrow :) lol. he origianally took all the silencers out yes. if i didnt have a milltek i would get one and have it from the centre join behind the middle box and then straight pipework back to the exit cheapest and best sounding way i would have thought. he had a powerflow centre box put back in

What bore of pipe did he go for? And just to confirm its from the cat back with a different centre box? Also did he just keep the OEM backbox? Sorry about all the questions lol its because I think im going to get one with the same tailpipe as streetbeef looks good IMO and sounds great. thanks for the info yea_good_1 :)

It's 2.5 inch bore mate. Yea cat back with powerflow centre box no boxes anywhere else just in the middle rest is just pipework.

Keep oe centre box and get straight pipework from there to the tail pipe that is what I would ask for

Just emailed Tim at Longlife Bristol to see if he can do what you said yea_good_1. Just join behind the centre box and a straight through 2.5" pipe. Ill let you guys know how I get on! :)

There is a sleeved joint there anyway so its a case of increasing the bore size from the join and bending and bobs your uncle :) keep us updated let us know what he says

good one would you by any chance know if the poweflow tip ORT63 fits in the space behind the diffuser? it looks a little tight for space but i realy like the look of it.

I see so delete the backbox and just straight through from the centre section, that sounds pretty good. I want a deep rumble like streetbeef's powerflow. Do you think there would be any power gains considering the bore would be bigger and no back box restricting the flow?

I doubt it streetbeef said his felt a bit more free up the the top end of things but I'm not sure I suppose in theory it will but will be minor gains really. If you delete the back box I think you will be very pleased if you want it louder just go back and get them to delete centre and put a small centre box in it but I think deleting the rear box will be perfect :)

Just an update for people. I got a price back from longlife for:

2.5" pipe from centre box back (No fancy tail ends etc) - £140.00

Cat back with a standard tailpipe - £299.00

So good prices. Apparently the guy said they prefer to control the sound of the exhaust by removing the centre box and adjusting the back box size to suit?!

I have decided to go for Miltek. I know its more expensive but I like the reassurance that it was made and developed on the car.

so ive been into another local powerflow exhaust dealers and they said that removing just the centre box would give our cars a sportier note???

its only like £96 and if it gives me a bit more of a beefier tone under acceleration i'd be happy....would it work?? id still have the standards downpipe and back box etc just no middle box

I just got a powerflow cat back this morning, absolutely love it! I had mine done at Topgear Performace St Albans who did a wicked job. Did it a bit differently and had the centre box removed and a small silencer put in at the back.

The set up is awesome, at motorway speeds you can barely hear it but at idle it burbles away and when you put your foot down a bit its nice and loud and pops and bangs on all the upshifts :)

I'll get some pics up when I get to 15 posts which hopefully wont be too far away!

I couldn't make my mind up in what exhaust to get when / if I get a Cupra, still in 2 minds whether to go custom or go milltek / blueflame but I like the sound of custom over the sound of the milltek but I quite like the look of the twin tip that the milltek gives,

I've had a few of them in the past and thought they were spot on fitting-wise, not sure about power gains though but they sounded good
