A couple of months ago my Pressure Sensor light came on on the dash on my FR170tdi. I took it into the dealership. After a day with the car I got a phone call to say that they had puted it as a DPF problem and ran the car in accordance with the manual to clear out the DP filter. After a bit of patronising and the threat of a bill cos it wasn't under warranty I'm sure you can imagine I was a bit
off.
When I turned up they went through the manual with me and pointed to the DPF light. When I told them that wasn't the light which had come on they dropped the charge and sent me on my way.
Within a week the light came back on. The car went in again and this time it was puted as the differential Pressure sensor and the fault code was reset. But nothing else done.
One week later the light came on again. In it went again and finally the differential Pressure sensor was ordered from Seat. 4 weeks ago. The part has just come in!
Since the last time it went in the light hasn't been on since but I have found a really strange thing, sometimes the car is really rough, a very rough idle (apparently common on the FR according to the dealer!) and its sounds really 'Diesel' like between 1500 and 3000 rpm and maybe a little down on power?
I was wondering if anyone else had had similar experiences? I have found one post which says about sensors being replaced. I'm just really fed up with what seems like being fobbed off by the dealer and rather than go elsewhere I have tried to give them the opportunity to repair the problem which is getting me to the end of my tether!
Also one other thing without the radio on and the climate in Auto mode it sounds as though there is some sort of small rodent running up and down the vent pipework has this happened to anyone else? If so whats the cause?
