Coming back from work today I went to park up outside the house, up onto a curb but the space was a bit tight and having the nearside of the car on the curb and not wanting to curb the alloys flick the side window selector into the passenger side. I try to move the mirror, nothing. Me thinking the NS mirror is fooked I switch to the drivers side and that moves and I look over to the NS and thats moving as well. All while the gear was in reverse.
Sticking it into neutral and gear the NS and OS mirrors work independantly but in reverse the NS and OS are locked to OS mirrors only. A benefit when parking! Not much use at work as I use two bays

I've had the car almost a year and have not used this feature before.

I found when it was just in reverse it would move both mirrors at the same level andycupra

some may say lala land....
Think this is a feature on a few cars that was taken away, remember reading a few threads about it and wished mine had it.

The rear parking view isn't great, but now I know size of the car better, no problems at all, always always reverse in drive out

You could always try reading the handbook for full instructions on this feature

Oh it's also covered in the FAQ's at the top of the Leon Mk1 section....

Stuarts description above is closest......although some very early Cupra's also had the nearside mirror flick down so you could see the kerb when reverse was selected.....

so to clarify, in reverse it doesnt use the triangulation system, but instead does the same to both. eg lower them both.

i know the early cupra with electric memory seats had a feature where you could set the NS mirror to a different possition when you put in in reverse. this was a very nice feature.

now i just leave the control on NS and dip it when needed.
