Blue cupra's are very nice very rich colour, sure you find the right one soon!

Pricing on these cars is very hard.

I know personally I would rather pay a little more for a good car, than buy a rough one which will never be the standard.

Most people will just look on the Autotrader site, see what the going rate is and if they want to sell it they'll make it a bit cheaper, that's what I'll have to watch out for.

I'll agree with you there I go on autotrader and look in a 60 miles radius at what the going rate is before selling my car - you'll find a lot of people are not willing to ftly / drive across Britain to look / buy a car.

Apparently (according to a guy looking for a cupra in my area) most of the Cupras in my area on autotrader are nails  ... So am I going to compete with them when I price my car?

I'll be interested to see what my car goes for if/when I put it up for sale.

Alphamale .. i thought u jus bought your car? selling already?

Yehh I have got the K03s / Dynatwist / Alloys and spent a fair bit and I still need a FMIC / Remap / DP & Exhaust to have myself a 240bhp Cupra then I'll need to spend another £500 to get some coilovers :( and maybe a bigger brake set up

Adding the costs of all this it means my Cupra will owe me £8,500 ish and I will never get that 'mod' money back when it comes to selling up, So I have been looking elsewhere as to what performance car I can have for £8,500 £9,000 that will have better performance than a 240bhp Cupra and will out handle a cupra with coilovers?

Elise maybe? ... would love a Evo 5 / 6 or I'd even settle for a P1 but running costs are an issue - this makes the elise a good competitor (only downside is the reliability).

I'm used to doing it now... 60 mile radius, 4-7K... Keyword - Cupra... lol! :D

With them being sporty cars it's fair to say some of them will be nails , one of the reasons why it's going to take sometime to find the right one, I've lost count of the number of people who've waited many months for them... And blue... Well, I'm not making it easy for myself! :D

When you do sell yours I'd be interested in what you get as it's already been established that good cars can sell pretty high, so I hope you do well.

Andi is that my car in your avatar?

Erm...

There's a possibility... I found two blue ones on the site and knocked up a quick Av & Sig... If either of them are yours, they're gorgeous, I hope you don't mind :(

Possibly a little high, I paid £6,600 for mine 3 weeks ago with 27000 miles. It's a 2001 Y-reg with 2 owners.

Having said that, you may as well try for it.

What about 5k for a cat d,, 51 plate with 33k? All reciepts for dealer parts, excellent work carried out, looks perfect? Still puts me off......whats your views.

Having trouble finding one, this one is on my doorstep but previously damaged? Typical!

I'll be putting my car in Autotrader for £6,400ono but I am not really that sure what it's worth TBH. Works both ways with this 'book price' the going rate is higher but how much higher?

Then again I am in no rush to sell either, I'm not 100% certian what it's going to replaced with - if it's going to be an elise I better start looking for a good deal.

And mate I wouldn't touch a damaged car. You'll never look at it the same way if it has been in a shunt. Although I was quite tempted to buy a black Evo 5 that was a cat D a few weeks back, it had a interior fire and it was replaced with full leather, rather than the usual £11k (for the miles) he wanted £7,000ono.

If it's cheap enough and you understand when it comes to selling it'll be 2/3's the price of the avarge cupra at the time then I guess it's ok.
