I have a personal plate. My opinion is keep them simple.
Mine are standard legal text with just a black border line. When you go putting extra words/pictures on the plates, it detracts from the personal reg.
Save your money!

If stopped the Police should give you a notice to rectify them...

Knowing i'd get stopped eventually with black and silver plates I bought a cheap set from www.fancyplates.com
In the end I never did get stopped but pressure (read: ear ache) from the wife got me to change them

exactly what I would do mate! My dad has his in 3D lettering with honeycomb background, and always has legal set in boot. Never been done yet tho after many years of using his current plates

Agreed he is............working in Bristol I get to see loads of Original work all the time, my favourite being the one on Cheltenham Rd Bristol at the moment (Teddy with Dynamite vs Riot Police).........very cool

Good company to try is kwikpro on ebay, i got mine on there with 3d font black border custom foter message but best bit was gb flag with seat cupra logo underneath looks **** hot!search kwikpro seat on ebay and see what you think, my plates came to £16 for the pair including postage and packing!

All i'd say is just keep it simple and clean, italic letters is chavistic!! Silve on black is mint, especially on silver or black cars but its just asking for it ( as my mate found out the other day day to the song of £30). I have run round for 2 1/2 years on private plates with 3d lettering with black border and euro sign, no centre spacing on either on the 6 letters and have never had any probs with the law, As long as you don't take the biscuit i don't thoink they are that bovered. The only thing i will say tho is, the DVLA are a joke when i comes to transferring it over so allow plenty of time!!!
