just notice my lcr 2002 while driving today i cant hear the actuator or the dump valve. but doesnt realy feel like i have lost any power.

anyone have any idears on the problem.?

boost is normal have not had a remap got a full blueflame exhaust forge induction kit but have had these done some time ago i did notice it was on and off the wwoooossshh noise but now has completely stop.

check the car for fault codes with vagcom. I very much doubt you will need a new actuator. I have not heard of one fail yet.

thanks bud but done that and there is no fault codes. a week ago i replaced the coil pack cause the last one went. was driveing the car round for a couple of days till the new one arrived. while doing this the car was shuddering alot. is there anyway of testing the dump valve and actuator.

could it be a split hose.

mine does this every now and then, i get the woosh alot louder on laying off at low boost, when i left work the other other morning it wasnt doing it, or at least i couldnt hear it so i actually pulled over to see if a pipe had come off my 007, as i had just fitted it the day before. Everything was connected and when i pulled off.....whoosh, whoosh! strange one

i duno if its just me but mine is alot quieter when its hotter, and its been hot for a while now, maybe that? mine also is louder when i let off on low boost

i agree the hot whether defo has an effect, 6am on a morning when the temp is low its alot louder, plus i have mine reverse fitted giving the whoosh and the ching sound, what i have noticed is the faster you take your foot off the throttle the more noise it makes and its also sharper, lay off gently and you get a long whoooooooosh ha ha, i just love cupras, they act so angry

i do agree with what is said about the weather and the effect it has been out just now in the car and could almost hear the dump valve but not the actuator. anyone no why this is

Probably best to turn off the engine and restart it, like i say mine does this at times, can't always hear it
