Hello there,

have a read of this thread link below, look at post 14 and 15

Basically most car manufacturers have encrypted car radios fitted from the factory when their cars are completed, then each car make main dealership will have access to their own brands archives, basically all part numbers and info but only once their customers have given them their registration number or Vin/Chassis number. Some info the customer will have to pay a small charge from £12 to £50 for things like car radio codes. The main dealership will ask you for the serial number off the radio, which will involve having to take out the radio head unit, to read the serial number which is normally on the white barcode label/sticker, on the side or back of radio head unit, I think the serial number has 14 digits total, 3 letters then 11 numbers it will start with (SEZ)

Another thread link below explaining the procedure and possible places to find your radio code, if it's not written in your car radio manual. Look at post 10 in the thread/link below.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your advice guys but in the end managed to decode the radio. Switched the radio on with the SAFE displayed and went of for a walk. Returned an hour later and the SAFE display had changed to 1000 so proceeded to introduce the 4 digit code attached to the radio owners manual and then activated the PTY/PROG button. Result music to my ears.
