Proud new owner of 02 Cupra R... (with a problem already!)

Damn, need to be a bit quicker off the mark next time.

It looked spot on when I got up there, very good condition, bloody bargain price as well eh?

Which day did you buy it on btw?

I put the deposit down on the day it went on Autotrader (Friday I think?)

As for the problem, took it to the local Seat garage and then ran diag which came up with the 4th coil gone...

However, they don't have any coilpacks in stock, and they are apparently on back-order, so they said it'll be 7-10 days before they can even order it!?

I made a quick trip around to the local VW garage, but they didn't have any either

When speaking to the VW parts guy, he said that the Cupra R has its own special coilpack which is different to the normal 1.8t vag engines... Sounded like he didn't know what he was talking about tbh, is that true?

So now i'm on a mission to get hold of a coilpack from anywhere so I can fit it myself...

Anyone in the Beds area has a spare one going that I could buy??

Forgot to say - I got mine from a Skoda dealer, they're a bit more available.

edit - since he's got an Ibiza Cupra R - they're the same
