quick abs question

i jet washed my car yesterday and soon after i drove off the abs and traction control lights were on, when i brake just before the car comes to a stop i get a crunching/gringing sound and feeling read on the forum theat maybe some dirt got on the sensor when i jet washed it? is this right?

happened to me just before my abs sensor packed in so i would suggest either a dirty sensor or as in my case a broken one

where abouts is it and how much to replace?

mine does it sometimes its more than likely the sensor, there bout £50 from seat or i think u can get them for bout £30 from gsf

its down on the bottom of the hub carrier, mine was a bitch to replace

My old ibiza did this. It was a sensor problem. You must have got it wet (pressre washer maybe)? a new sensor from my local garage cost me £25. Easy to fit mate. only thing is which one - so you may have to get it up on vag -com or do what i did and get a garage to plug their computer in - as i don't have vag - com

if it helps euro car parts list them at about 19 quid inc vat if i remember correctly!!
