The temp gauge on the Ibiza cupras, do they usualy flash red in the morning beeping for a couple of mins then go off?

Isn't that a warning to tell you it's 0.5' outside and that you should drive carefully?

it does come on when its freezing. Or just under 0 degrees

I've had it the last few mornings, but my outside temp sensor is toast so i take it with a pinch of salt. Just check the level in it to make sure its ok.

mine does that! its a sensor thats gone! thats what they said at seat, the engine thinks its over heating and thats the warning light, it only seems to happen when its really cold!

check the level of the coolant, if its near the low marker then it sounds!

I've never had that alarm, and i've been going to work, when its minus 6 recently. So nowt to do with outside temp imo.
Mine sounded and flashed when my water pump went, when driving the temp went up over 90.

Could be a faulty sender, or water pump?

nah its nowt to do with the outside temp sensor, i had it beeping when i was losing coolant earlier this month

coolant has its own sensor in the bottle..so if that blows then u need a new bottle as the sensor is built in
otherwise it'll beep an flash when levels arent right, so try topping it up
