Hi all so sorry iv posted this in the wrong place i just wernt sure where the best place to ask the question and where id get the best response

However me and my girlfriend recently bought a seat leon 1.6 tdi 65 plate to cut s long story short the company we bought it from advertised it as to having a cd player but it turns out now that it hasnt anywhere just bluetooth etc the company are currently investigating it and shes getting a phonecall tomorow from their general manager and he'l be letting us know what they can do...

Does anyone know what they can do and also is it possible for them to take it to seat and get them to fit a new head unit in which has a cd player built in?? If thats possible how muchh would it be to get done?

Thanks

Yeah we thought ours may have been in the glove box or maybe even the boot but it's literally non existent we bought it from imperial cars who are being really helpful so far as they said it's really weird it should have one I'm really hoping they say they'll get a new head unit fitted for us

I know it sounds kind of petty but it was a key point for why my girlfriend wanted the car and when it's advertised to have it then it really should have one. :)

get a satnav out of them

but in my experience they willl get in touch with seat to confirm it been there when built and they would just install another cd changer as seat and no one i have tried will change th thing to a satnav version

but my 65 plate FR came with a cd in the head unit not a changer but as he said up there ^^
it should be in glove box top right i think on a shelf type thing

seat take the p**s when it comes to there head units and set ups seat really do nothing if it wasn't in the build spec

Ah really! I saw that little shelf thing in the glove box! It's really weird because the guys we bought it from said the ad we have a printout of and obviously what was on their website was made while the car was in their little factory thing being cleaned up etc and they said it had one then or they wouldn't have wrote it in the ad? Hopefully when their general manager calls today they'll have something sorted for us :)

Also I'm really not very good on cars but what is cupra? All I know is ours is
1.6 tdi automatic and I'm sure is mk3??? Sorry to be a pain

Try lifting that little shelf thingy. You might get a nice surprise! :santa:
Btw a Cupra is a gift from heaven I'll say :worship:

I'm stumped. Does the shelf lift up? Is it just empty space underneath? Are there trailing wires and a crowbar?

Nah literally i have a normal glovebox then theres an empty square shelf looking thing in the top right corner but theres no wires or anything nothing that moves just two screws right at the back but thats it

Believe it or not nothing at all has happened we are still trying to get hold of imperial cars
The genera manager was meant to get hold of us over abweek ago we keep contacting them they say theyl get someone to contact us then nothing [:@] they are really frustrating then when we call them it always goes to answer phone

There's a chance you could return it as the goods are not as described. Speak to Trading Standards.

I agree. If there's no cd in the glove compartment then you ain't got one. My local SEAT dealer says it would cost £600-1000 plus fitting for a new cd so it's no surprise that IMPERIAL CARS have gone all quiet and sheepish!
This Easter bunny is not a happy one!

Go on a busy day, park somewhere obstructive, march into the general managers office, make as much fuss as you can and insist they deal with it there and then. If the description said CD player, you should get one or another vehicle that has one.

They got back to my girlfriend yesterday all they said they are doing is once she has taken it to get a cd player fitted go back to them and they'l give us a 100 pound cheque

If it is correct that it could cost between 600-1000 then they are seriously taking the mick the problem is they do have a disclaimer on their website explaining that the adverts for the cars may not be 100 guaranteed and could be slightly off.... all i can say is AVOID imperial cars guys is a shame because we never had any issues before with them and are generally good people but when something does go wrong they always try to avoid fixing it i had a problem with our astra before when they said its been serviced when it wasnt
