hi guys, I have a lc, was looking at changing the steering wheel but with new mots that's a no so, steering rack. no one seems to do a quick rackl but some have said that the tt is faster. but as its the same as the lcr would the steering rack not be the same on tt lc and lcr? so say its 2.5 turns lock to lock. haven't tried mine yet as im away from m car for a while.

I have the Cupra TDI and mines 3 turns lock to lock, would you need much quicker than that unless you're tracking the car?

Also what mot rule are you referring to as I have an Audi A3 sport wheel in mine but still has airbag.

The rack is only part of the conversion as it has different track rods and ends, which go into different hubs using the different wishbones to support (with camber adjustment) and an ARB that mounts differently
I have all the conversion too if you need it

Hi. What exactly would I need to upgrade to a cupra r or tt steering rack in my cupra tdi? My rack has sprung a leak and might aswell upgrade now if it's possible.

im sure the LCCR rack is different to the cupras.

I've read that they're different. Apparently they take less turns to get full lock and provide better feedback thru the steering wheel.

I just can't seem to find anywhere that says if it's a straight swop onto a diesel or if I'd need different part i.e track arms, rack bush etc.

Any information would be much appreciated

People normally buy the subframe setup which comprises or subframe, arb, hubs, wishbones, rack, with track rods and ends
If you need a setup I still have one

Do you have all of what you mentioned in that post Ronin? Funnily enough I already have an r32 front arb that will fit (eBay steal without researching properly). Could you post it as Worcester is a canny trek for me? Also price?

From what u gather westie, it's a different arb. The one on mine connects to a drop link then to the wishbone however on the lcrs it's a longer link that connects to the suspension strut. Forgive me if I'm wrong tho.

Could anyone clarify that a lcr rack is a straight swap to a cupra tdi too?
I'm in talks with ronin at the minute about a s3 subframe but my suspension might not be compatible. Thanks
