HI Guys

Yesterday my air con stopped working and I noticed fans are not spinning. Checked all the fuses but everything is fine. Scanned with VCDS but no faults.
Help please :|

If you have access to vcds you can use component activation/output tests to set them off, if you get a live signal then they're dead.

One controls the other and the resistor pack is built into the larger of the 2 fans.

Just done it.
Fan going on to full speed for 2-3 sec then stops.
But there's only one fan.

You said in your first post "fans" but now you say there is only one fan? That's unusual, there are usually two, one large and one small. Both should come on and go off together.

Fan/s coming on fast for a few seconds then going off is often a symptom of low-speed fan resistor failure. or at least it was in the older installations where the resistors were in the fan support struts.

I said "fans" on the beginning because I thought there's 2 but actually there's only one (weird)
As I said before, on output test fan going on to full speed and stops

To eliminate/confirm a problem with the fan motor, I suggest reverting to the old school method of disconnecting the electrical connector to the fan and then apply a voltage directly from the battery to the connector pins on the fan motor. Just be extra careful that you don't inadvertantly chop your fingers off!

You will tend to get them running that way but at an unregulated speed.

True, but if they run continuously without stopping (even at an unregulated speed) it will confirm that the issue lies elsewhere (wiring, relay, control module, resistor pack etc.).
