Radio/code problems..

I've had problems with my stereo since I got my W reg Ibiza .cool/S about a year ago, in so much as it turns itself off randomly with the engine on, somedays it'll keep goin for an hour somedays 10 seconds. SO I've come to the conclusion I need a new head unit (silver box behind fascia) but I got told by SEAT a new one would run me £250!

So, I looked into getting one from 2nd hand, and I've found one quite cheap but it has no code, so before I buy I want to be sure that I can get the code from SEAT or somehow hack in Does anyone know how I can get round this or anywhere else I can pick up a relatively cheap one, with a code!

as far as i know there is no code, i've had mine out and the the battery d/c'd and never got asked for a code upon replaceing the radio unit.

your local dealer can get it repaired by grundig for you (they prob won't tell you this as they would rather sell you a new one) just means being without the radio/heater for a month or so
