I disconnected my battery to reset my ECU, plugged it back in, and the radio needed the code entered (which is fine i've done it before). But this time I must've fluffed it up, because it's just stuck on 'SAFE' now, in the manual I think it said I need to go to the dealer with proof I own the car.

Can I just go down with my V5 and driving licence or something and ask them to fix it?

Anyone know how much will they charge me for this pleasure?

Cheers :ban:

Yeah I had that thought, this actually happened yesterday but it was still stuck on safe this morning. Will leave it til tomorrow morning if it's not fixed i'll drive by the dealer and see if they can quickly do it.

Better get fixed as I have to drive to knockhill (like 3 hour drive) on monday and I don't want to drive there in silence!!!

Just count yourself lucky you haven't got a diesel FR - at least you won't have to listen to the dash rattling all the way - turning the radio up was all that kept me sane in my Ibiza!!

For some reason I think I remember having to have the ignition and radio on for a couple of hours to get it to reset...

So you may be able to bash in the code two thirds of the way to knockhill :D
