Good evening,

Yesterday I took my car back in to Seat at Coventry for a radio malfunction, where the screen thinkings I’m pressing it when I’m not. It changes radio and skips songs whenever it wants. They have said that they cannot fix this and it’s a “characteristic” of the car. I’m trying to get this done under warranty which I think is correct.

Also,

In the three days in between Christmas and New Years I accidentally Kerbed my car while trying to get to work. Seat have had a look at this and have said both Tie rod ends have bent and also the Tie rod? They have quoted me £500 to repair this and still think there could be more damage. It wasn’t a high speed collision or anything. I have had the tracking done as well.

Does anyone else think this is too excessive?
I’d attach a video but it won’t let me of the radio.

How old is the car? The bit about the touch screen is not correct, do a search on here others have had issues and it usually ended up with a replacement unit or screen. If the car is under 3 years old it should be covered under warranty.
As for the tie rods bit, you may be wise to shop around ( maybe an independent) does the car still drive ok?

It’s a 15 plate and they’ve refused to do anything with it. Might have to take it further than the local dealership. Yeah the rods aren’t expensive. Apparently the labour is
