yeah thats why i was a bit confused about it, thought might get stronger bonet catch or somethig for front as would be able to hold it down, thats why i asked for the picture to see what were on about.

It's more substance over style.
I'll be either looking to do this or wing vents, this looks like it will be cheaper than arch vents.

my arches are all work so air goes theough there at the bottom, is this what you mean willie when say arch vents. i have fmic so no need to worry about stones flicking up and damaging side mounted intercoolers.

Will there be any noticable improvements by raising the bonnet an inch or so??
I can't see it. I figure if something is going to break / overheat / melt, it would probably do it with or without the bonnet up an inchor so............

I've heard of people with open-cone induction kits suffering from heat-soak. This might help combat this?
I quite like the idea of it but I quite like the rat look on VAG cars and therefore probably have no taste.

Yeah you can usually see the heat coming out from the back of the bonnet with the raisers fitted.

well i dont rag my car hard enough to suffer from heat soak...but when i do take it to the drag strip,all i do is open the bonnet in between races.helps out. costs nothing too! but if it looks good,i might just raise it myself

What do you reckon 4 washers is in mm? 6mm?
