yeah about 6mm but had to use longer bolts.have only done it that hight due to lack of longer bolts at home but it doesnt stand out as much at this hight

I gonna try these, can always cut them down a bit if its to high :)

get a mate to help hold the bonnet as it tends to move alot due to the gas strut.them spacers look massice in the pic i would prob use half of one and slightly less for second bolt

Yeah I'm used to changing bonnets from when I was a panel beater :)

I gonna try the whole 1" first as thats what I used on my old RS and it looked ok.........we shall see on sunday! :cartman:

yeah get it done and some pics so i can see wat yours is like higher when i get back from pod

jap show go every yeah with a load of mates.most have civic type r s and integras at min so think ill have to show them wat my family car can do on the way down

I was originally going to that!...will have to make some calls :D

Look out for chap I know Dave in the Henstead Motorsport yellow Evo 3....Reckon he might run his first 10

Back on track....yeah I'll get it done and take some pics.

was hoping to put my cupra r up strip but its jap only for rwyb which is naff.mate has 400 brake pulsar and cant wait to see that on the strip

Curtis thats looks like it'll work.
It there a seal in the rear and how much do you need to raise to lift off of it?
Can it be removed?
also do you have the front bonnet seal as removing this would help air flow

It sits level to the wings because it looks better.....you wouldn't buy a car if the panels didnt fit :)

IMO back of bonnet doesnt really matter that much as nothing can get in there really.

Never had any problems on my RS

only need a few washers to raise and some longer bolts and it just up to you how high u go.there is a seal that runs across the scuttle which i removed to give more clearance.

the seal on front of the bonnet stops air going under the front and flicking on to your roof and smashing your screen.

never had any problems with this mod on my scoob

unsure on the seal but i would not worry about it to much with the hight u want it ll have that much down force on it

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the fitment of this seal my 01 has one, but i know others newer have them too, it's supposed to stop water and dirt from getting under the bonnet....and it works.

Ah rite! mines a 02 but I don't have one, guess its prob for the best if I'm raising the back up as it will help push the hot air out :)
