Rattle (Dashboard?)

My 2002 Leon seems to have developed some form of rattle when accelerating, which from what I can tell is coming from the area of the dashboard roughly behind the centre console. Is this a common problem with the Mk1 Leon? Searching around it seems similar issues have been posted in a few places. And is there anything specifically I can do about it?

Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated!

yes it is a common problem, can't remember what causes it now but i wouldn't worry mate

I always find my rattle is the ash tray.

i tried to adjust the rake on the wheel, and ended up forcing it and now it vibrates under acceleration
