All,

I have a very annoying issue with my Leon FR 2.0TDI 184. When the mood takes me I like to listen to music pretty loud. The bass seems to make something rattle in the drivers door. I have tried putting my hand on bits of trim hoping I can find the issue and potentially fix but just carries on rattling. Even "if in doubt give it a clought" doesn't work... Any suggestions?

I don't have a solution, but you're not alone. I've been getting the same from mine.

Reluctant to take the door apart to find culprit.

I have found sometimes it's been stuff in the pocket.

I am glad that I'm not alone. I have nothing in my pockets as I tend to keep my car absolutely spotless... In fact it's a little OCD.

Just wondered if anyone has had this issue and found a solution?

Very common problem, do a search for rattling door cards - you'll find all you need to know. I cured mine by sound deadening

You'll find plenty of stuff on here about this. I'm about to take mine to the dealer for a second time to argue it out - but you'll find others who've done it many more times than me, without success, and ended up going down the DIY sound-deadening route. Seat have issued a fix for rattling doors - as said above, it's a well-known problem - but that doesn't mean their mechanics have the ability to install it correctly.
