Rattling resonance

During kick-down accelaration especially up-hill I have an anoying resonance around 3800 rpm. It sounds a bit like ice cubes in a McDonald mug - Could it be from inside the exaust system ?

could be the baffles on the back exhaust box I guess. best get the exhaust checked out in case its one of the suspension rubbers that is gone or the exhaust clamps/brackets are loose.

Clamps and brackets have been checked - I was thinking about the inside of the exhaust.
Forgot to write that the noise comes from somwhere in the front.

I have the same issue with my Arosa. I checked and the middle section hangs quite low and has slowly been melting the rubber mounts. I have replaced the mounts twice now and its still doing it. I have no loss of power and if anything my fuel consumption has been a bit better lately. Will be popping to a few garages tomorrow to get some advice so will let you know how I get on.

I went and had mine looked at and it took them 10 minutes to fix. The pipe from my cat leading to the middle section was pushed in too much which, had caused the rear section to not be far enough back towards the rear of my car. The clamp had also been rubbing on my brake pipes near the rear passenger side wheel and I will need to get these replaced.

I dont know if that helps as I dont know if your exhaust is the original one ? If it is I cant see that this is the same problem. Its well worth popping to an independant exhaust centre. I went to National Tyres and Exhausts, like I said took them 10 minutes to do and all they wanted was me to buy them a pint each !

In my case it turned out to be the kardan joint at the left front wheel. The grease appeared dry and lumpy. The garage cleaned it at applied new grease and the noise was gone! :D

But it was an atypical sound. Neither I nor the garage never heard that kind of sound from a kardan joint before.
