RCA outputs

I understand the Aura head unit does not have RCA output. But I searched and found a thread here trying to re find it again. Someone hooked up a PC3-11 cable to the standard Satnav head unit which gave them some outputs to hook up to a amp.

Has anyone had any experience using this cable with the Aura tapedeck?

Im trying to avoid a new head unit due to living in a crappy area. Nothing like a tape deck to deter the robbing bassas

Just in case someone interested I got one of those cables from eBay, was really cheap so gave it a go. Bad news is that the audio outputs don't seem to work good thing is that the R.E.M switch works great, so the yellow mini iso has a switched 12+.

If your looking to run some amplification you could use a Autoleads PC1-601 Line Output Connector http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_186391_langId_-1_categoryId_165626 . Wire it to your head unit speaker output to convert it to a low level RCA output to plug your amp into. If your in west Yorkshire and you want a hand to wire one in give me a shout.

I've also done what Wayne suggests on my previous cars, it works fine. You need a decent quality one though, I went cheap once and the background hum was obscene. I can't vouch for that Autoleads one, at the very least you might want to see if anyone other than Halfords sell it.

Thanks for that, I'm lucky because my amp accepts high level inputs but I just wanted to see of I could get proper low level.
