heya a quick few questions to ask you guys i have a leon cupra r 225
i am geting a miltek exhaust re - map forge d/v and a green cotton filter my questions are can i get the exaust first on my car and run it for afew months untill i can afford the re map or will this screw my car up ??

also vise versa would i be able to get it re -mapped etc then afew months down the line get an exhaust or will i have to have it mapped again??

wot do we think to miltek exhausts also??

i think am gona go for a custom map mate so you would recomend the exhaust first ?? just keeo thinking i could get it remaped insted ov the exhaust lol and have more power arghhh am so confused cheers jim
 
tbh if your only getting an exhaust you dont really need a custom map. A generic one from custom-code, revo, jabba, p-torque or whoever would do the job!

If you are getting a custom job then definitely get the exhaust fitted before or at the same time
 
so wots the difference between a custon one and a generic one then mate?? would the generic one with the d/v and filter n exhaust push me to around 275 bhp ?? thanks jim
 
i doubt anyone would actually do a custom map for you without the mods required for a custom map....and yes you should be looking at around 275 (hopefully more) with that

jabba are a good bunch of guys, I had a few bits and pieces done down there last year when I lived a bit closer to them! Your not exactly far from custom-code HQ (I've been there as well, again good bunch of guys) in Scunthorpe either so might be worth having a chat to both and seeing who can offer you the best package ;)

last year i got a turbo back miltek and 007p dv and stage 2 custom code remap ( which is custom ) from jbs in chesterfield and they threw in the green panel filter for free , a great service with ps2 while you wait.
 
bear in mind that the downpipe and cat at the parts of the exhaust you would get most benefit from.
Miltek dont do a downpipe for the LCR. however you could match it with something like the piperdownpipe as this uses stock fitments so should be compatable.
(piper also do a full system. As do blue flame. Costs vary as does the quality.

A cat back exhaust will only make a very small difference. However it does make sense to map after other mods especially if you are going custom.

The difference between custom and generic are probably not as significant as many believe. However the generic map will of course be made to suit 99% of cars of that type of will therefore likely have very slightly conservative settings.
This may include taking into account different types off fuels used, whereas if you always use V power or the like then a custom map can take advantage of this.
 
cheers guys u lot are proper helpfull i am gona get a cat back exhuast from miltek as my back box have a small hole starting to apper so it does not matter if i get a generic re map first then a cat back exhaust second???? ill probs go with jabba sport ill giv them a ring cheers guys

not sure why you would put a 4bar FPR on a car with a generic map as the map will assume standard set up for fueling.

your right though, for a panel filter and cat back there is no need for a 'custom' or stage two map.

If you have Revo stage 2 (as per your sig) it was written for cars with specific mod's (induction kit, cat back and a 4bar fpr) and I think they recommend an FMIC too

Injectors and Turbo's is stage 3 remapping and a whole world away from stage 1 and stage 2

spoke to jabba about the down pipe an they said dont bother changing it as the standard one is already really good and they never recommend changing it!
