Rear Bumper Removal - bad paint match

Hi, is it easy to remove (and change) the rear bumper on a MK2 Leon? My one is in Lunar grey and I have noticed, particuarly on the rear bumper that the paint seams a slightly darker shade to the rest of the car. You notice this the most at the junction between the rear side wing and the bumper section. I am pretty sure the car has never had a rear end accident, and reading on the net it might be due to them being pre-painted at a different factory or the fact that they are plastic and the paint looks slightly different on different materials. Anyone else got a Lunar grey with slightly different shaded bumpers? I was going to try to pick up a cheap replacement via ebay and swap it out (checking the match first of course!)

mines the exact same buddy. silver is the worse for showing up matches diff.. main prob is that the bumeprs are plastic and rest of the car is metal, so u will always get a shading difference.

just one of these things i'm afraid

Thanks for the reply. Do you think I am wasting my time then trying to replace the bumper as they all wont match? Have you seen other silver Leons with the same problem?

Mines also the same slightly darker bumpers. Also came to the conclusion it was because they are made of plastic.

havent looked in particular for a silver leon, but have a glance at most cars an u will see a slight shade diff... most silver cars show it worse tho for somereason.
