i was removing my pads on rear then saw piston
usually you would just g clamp it in on most cars.

so i started using this http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/f/p...Service-Tools/Brake-System-Tools/?SEAVS024&0&

and the piston is still solid.

the car passed its mot 3 weeks ago so the piston isnt ****ed? hope not.

any ideas?

i feel like im not using the tool right now.

my handbrake is off.
and my clyinder top is off.
i still have my other rear caliper on.

I had the same problem on an mr2, took some serious effort and wheel brace on the end of the tool to get it moving.

Same here, I needed to give it a fair bit of encouragement to get it moving. The little bar was useless, I got a proper ratchet wrench on it with a suitable socket. The ratchet also helped with winding it in as I could keep a rhythm going.

I did find not jamming it tight against the caliper got a good start, then once it's moving tighten it up to apply pressure. You almost have to get it spinning before you push it in? And I had to occasionally 'slip' the tool, it was almost as if the thread on the tool was at a higher angle than the piston thread, so every so often it would just lock up.

just put some wd40 round the edge
and alot & alot of effort and a 19mm ring spanner round the end the little arm.
and it slowly started to move.
