Hi all,

Can someone please take some measures for the exhaust outlets on the OEM Carbon Edition and also Rieger aftermarket rear diffusors please?
As I chopped my stock exhaust into several pieces to make the custom one (not liking it anymore as its too loud and boomy for me), Ive found the stock exhaust from the Golf R Variant, and it would look much nicer with the four exhaust tips rather than the stock ones. But pretty shure that they wont fit into my original diffusor outlets.

From memory when I measured it, Standard Carbon tips are 100mm wife with a 10mm gap between each tip. The diffuser sits another 15-20mm away.

So all in all the gap is nearly 250mm.
Tips are definitely 100mm wide though.

Okay, thanks, those Golf R tips measured 225mm overall on one side so pretty shure I need a new diffusor to use them.
Now im waiting anyone to measure the Rieger diffusor outlet :)

@S4BiT just been out and had a quick measure under the Rieger diffuser and I reckon you only have 200-210mm opening for the maximum size exhaust tips. I have single oval tips which come in at 170mm wide and there is about 12-15mm gap each side.

Thank you for the measures, I have to figure something out or use some different tips or original ones then. But I would like to have quad pipes as the Carbon Edition looks much better with them.

I had these Akrapovic tips fitted too my old exhaust which looked the mutts mutts, before I got a new system.

Based on the shape of the diffuser you potentially get away with the carbon’s sized tips, but you need them to be in a Y shape. Also got to consider the face that if you are going for a gold R exhaust the tips sit more imboard than the standard ones. So the centre of the 2 tips (ie the gap) would not sit at the centre of the standard tip.

If I was going to mod a diffuser to fit, you are better off modifying the Reigar one, it’s made if fibre glass not hard plastic, so should be easier to cut, just need to be careful.
