I have just changed my rear passenger side door lock following a couple of guides on the forum but have come across 2 problems I can't find the answer to.

1. I can't work out how to replace both pins that hold the window in place. All the how to guides show the window being held in with a bolt but mine is held in with 2 plastic pins, an inner and an outer one. Pushed them out no problem but now I have come to refit them, all that is happening is the inner one is pushing the outer one out rather than going in it and I can't see how to stop this from happening.

2. Tried the door lock, it works fine on key fob locking/unlocking the door making the right sounds but when I try and lock the door from inside using the button on drivers door, you see it lock (still got door card off) but it just jumps straight back to the unlock position, all the other doors stay locked. Any ideas?

It's a 03 plate Leon cupra r.

You fit the outer plastic bung in the window first then push the inner part in. I used grease the help it. I used a long nosed pair of plyers to squeeze the inner part in. Once it's in flush you lower the glass down into the regulator and give it a push so it snaps back on place.

I didn't really get what you were on about but I had another look today and now I see where I was going wrong. Thanks for the help, seems simple now.

One problem solved, anyone have any ideas about the other issue with regard to it not staying locked as described above?

So can anyone suggest any reason why my new door lock won't stay locked when you press the internal door lock button??

Is the lock a genuine part or an ebay copy?
Is it possible that the "lock" signal from the fob and the internal locking button are fed to different circuits on the lock so one part of the circuit works fine and the other doesnt?
I have copies on the front doors and the electrical internals on the drivers side don't work properly so the lock doesn't know when the door is open and stops quite a few things working properly.

Maybe someone should start a thread on where they bought copy locks that work perfectly.

Well I was wondering about that, it's a vemo one from my GSF, Part number 837VG0300 stuck on the box. The box does have a manufacturer number of V10-85-0013.

The internal button does make it lock but it just jumps straight back. The interior light works fine so I assume it knows when the door is open and closed.

Thanks.
