Rear Fabia Wiper has flying lessons

There i was today driving along as some 60 or so and in my rear mirror i saw something fly away ! only to find out it was my Fabia Wiper ! .......ended up across some muddy field so no chance of getting it back !

Anybody elese had that problem! i have noticed before that when driving in strong cross winds the wiper does sometimes lift up, its alot lighter than the original but didnt think i would see it flying away into the distance ! DOH

You did put the nut back on?

That nearly happen to me, my wiper was dangling down, like a dog wagging his tail. Some motorist laughed at me when they went pass

Nut and the base of the wiper still there ! It was from the joint where the wiper arm bends

I have heard of them pinging off when they are being used on the front in heavy rain and wind, but the back one?? Go on, admit it you did not fit it properly....

Nah , just a few cows !

I am sure it was fitted propa, been on there a year with no probs , but hey you never know ! At least i can live without the rear one for a while !

Go back to the dealer you got it from and tell them what happened and show them the part and the nut that is still attached to your car. Might have been a faulty one.... Its a big might tho Lol

It would be hard to lose with the nut and then on a spline,ask the question did somebody try to remove it for you but was disturbed
