my rear hubs are nackered on my car, due to crossthreading.my fault.

are the hub and the disc one thing or do they come seperatly???

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEAT-IBIZA-1-...eZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem

this is what iv found and they look like they would fit fine, and they are reasonably cheap.

any help on this please.

As far as i konw they are seperate...it would be one if they were drums and even then i think there is some seperateness about them!

How did you cross thread them - can't get an engineering place to re-tap them?

You cant re-tap the hub as its a magor fixing point, you will have to replace them mate.

All you need is a new Hub which are about £70 from the dealers and take the hub casing to a local garage as it needs to be pressed in, but you'l have to get the wheel bearing done aswel as they cant do the hub without doing the wheel bearing iirc and thats about £25. Garage shouldnt charge more than about £20 just to put them in the casing for you mate

An those disc an pads are pretty good mate ive got those exact ones all round on mine

bearing has the threaded portion. it does not need to be pressed into anything, simply fit onto the stub and do up the hubnut again.

It can be re-tapped, one of my rear hubs were cross threaded and it was retapped to take a Golf bolt.

There not hard at all to be honest wheels off discs, brake calipers and carriers off and then remove hub but and it all pulls off If I remeber correctly ;) then just pop the new ones on and botlt the hub nut up and replace brakes etc
