Anyone experiencing a problem with them not opening and permanently locking themselves?

Had to take my to the dealership this morning. Awaiting response but this has only happened in the cold snap last 24 hours. Sort of surprising if it's weather related...

update.

Dealer confirmed it is due to cold weather - so at -2 the car doors remain unoperable. The doors opened after being inside the workshop for a couple of hours, where it's nice and warm....!

Can't believe that is correct....that's normal winter weather....I thought they tunnel tested these down to -30...

Any help much appreciated.

I'm assuming you're talking about electric doors. I've not had any problem but the temperatures around here have only hit about -1 or freezing.

Fair enough I'd expect a problem if it was really, really cold like -18, -20 and even then I'd have thought they'd just be a bit slow with a decent battery in use!

Hi. Yup, electric doors and that's what I thought, bit slow etc. But the doors remain completely locked shut. Not even any noise from the motors even trying - it was if the all power to the rear door locks had been cut. There's a google video with someone having similar issue on a frozen Sharan - albeit he could open the doors from inside.
