Rear spoiler removal??

Does anybody no how easy it is to remove a LCR rear spoiler? mine is rubbing on the roof as you open it. It makes a nasty clicking noise when it is opened. Just needs an adjustment, but i dont want to go headlong into diasater!
I did take it to a near by bodyshop, but he firstly said it was an after market bodykit and spolier (idiot ) then he said i could try puting match sticks underneath it to keep it out the way.. any help with this will be very gratefully excepted.

its removed by removing the plastic trim inside the boot (from handles all way round window) then it just screws into the tailgate from there

so just simple case of remove boot trims and undo bolts on spolier and realign?

Sounds strange, but get a pic of your car after its gone, i'd imagine it would look a very strange thing without 1! might be worth a post, oh and good luck.
