Rear view mirror?

Im trying to find out if the one in my 2001 Leon Cupra is the original one.

Its an off white colour, matches the interior roof material. However when I first saw the car I noticed it looked a bit odd, and one of hubby's friends commented on it the other night. The car is a Royal Blue colour (not sure exactly the name as not got the log-book back yet). There is a receipt for a mirror re-stick with the history but nothing about a new mirror supplied.

Can anyone tell me if this would be the original mirror that came with the car? Thanks.

if it matches the roof lining then it probably is the original one, you'd need the one from the cupra R if you want a black one.

i just checked some cupra's on the photo section and they do all have the light colour mirrors.

Cheers. Do you think it'd look better with a black one? I'll have to try and find out how much it would cost from a breaker etc. These little parts for the Leon's dont seem to come cheap!

p.s - how on earth do you put a signature? I cant suss it out.

at the top of the page there is a bit that says USER - CP, click on that and you'll see a bit that says edit signature.

Are you sure the LCR one will go on. I had a broken windscreen recently, to get the correct windscreen they needed my chasis number. I was asking about the mirror, they said it comes with the fitting (dunno what the fitting is??) attached for the mirror

the black mirror ive got is identicle to the normal one i have just in black

They both exactly the same except the cupra R has black headlining and the black rear view mirror to match. The windscreen attachment is a piece of plastic that comes stuck to the windscreen so you just clip the rear view mirror on to it.


Hope this helps.............Oh and mines a creamy white one too. (the black looks better but looks weired against the white roof)

The black looks much better in my opinion, regardless of your interior.

Thing is the early Cupras had the rain sensor and that is mounted in the mirror the "R"s dont have this so will be different.
