Went to local Skoda dealer where I was told that 6Y6955704 (Wiper arm) is in fact the part number of the whole assembly (it also includes cover and blade) and that the correct part number for the arm is 6Y6955707. So I bought them, just to find out that the part they gave me is too short !!!

So, back to the dealer tomorrow for the correct part ...

The part #'s I posted are the right ones... For the Fabia estate. The dealer you went into was wrong and sold you the hatchback one...

I need someone to measure the Ibiza rear wiper and I can tell you which one to get

Easy peasy.

Pull the cap off the current one. Undo the nut. Take the wiper off. Put the new wiper on. Do up the nut again. Fit on the new cap.

Job done. Did mine in 2 mins.

Skoda dealer I went to also said the same thing. Even after I gave him the numbers and model of vehicle.

The 707 wiper arm is shorter (about 1") and doesn't quite fit on the spindle properly. The cover and wiper blade seem to fit the part though. The 707 arm has a grove along the outside of the arm, whilst the picture of ICE MAN's shows a smooth arm.

JUST FOUND OUT 6Y6955704 has been superceded by 6Y6955707A.

I have ended up with a short Felicia rear wiper and 25 Euros less in my pocket.

Can somebody finally give us some solution, please ?

The arm I got has 6Y6955704 on it but its package says 6Y6955707 !!!!!

It works fine. No problems Leo.

The cover still allows full access for it to do its stuff.

How can the washer still wash with the station wagon cover? The sw has the washer fitted on the third stop light and not where the LEON has it, so the cover has no hole. How can our washers work then? Something is wrong here, but what?
6Y6... codes are for the hatchback.
6Y9... codes are for the sw.
Took them right from SKODA's ETKA !!!

Here's mine.Everything works fine including the washer.The wiper is about 1 inch shorter than the original.Ordered parts using Icemans part numbers which came as wiper blade, blade cover & the cover that goes over the bolt.It's all gravey.
