Hi all,

Bought a '15 Mk5 Ibiza 1.2 TSI and am chuffed with it. Today I've attempted to install a dashcam - so in order to route the cables over to the fusebox area, I attempted to remove the A-Pillar trim on the drivers side. I managed to get the first top two clips undone but have now discovered that I can not reattach the trim.

I can't figure out how I should get the metal clips out of the vehicle's bodywork - or how I should reattach the pillar onto it?

I've attached some photos below to show you:

Remove the metal clips and fit them into the plastic.

Then its easy.

As dm222 says but I think you are asking how to get the clips out, I get a pair of long nose pliers, put the prongs into the clip and just pull them
out and attach to plastic trim and then align with slots in metal pillar and tap in with hand

You need to remove the metal clips from pillar and re insert in plastic and that’ll do the trick

Brilliant, all sorted now with dashcam cable routed. Found the lowest clip the most difficult to get out, but one nosey neighbour chat and a bit of power got it out.

Cheers!
