Can anyone please tell me if the Recaro option seats for the LCR can be purchased from the dealer or you have to opt for them before the car leaves the factory. Therefore not being a add on or do they just tell you this.

Rikko

As far as I know the LCR Recaro's (black with red stitching) are a factory fitted option.

Seat Sport Recaro's are accessory options, but I think they're grey.

You could buy a cheap set of Mk4 Golf Recaro's and get the black 'R' Recaro trim / covers from a dealer... not cheap though :(

The LCR Recaro seats were a very expensive option when new. I'm sure you can still buy them from a dealer as a spare part, but they will cost a small fortune.

Mk4 GTi Recaros are a much more sensible option.

I have recaro's in my car - their alright but I wouldnt pay extra for them. The front seats dont seem any better than the normal ones really....the rear ones look pretty cool though, but yet to travel in them!

The Recaro options are great, i have them, front and rear,
prob wouldn't have paid them but i'm very glad i have them!
Fronts are good, just like MK4 Golf ones!
Backs are amazing, comfy and very supportive!

Well if money wasnt an option i would have a set of R32 front seats trimmed up to look oem think that would look unique but there serious bucks

I would be as its still on my 50 car wish list addmitedly it prob wouldn't get driven that often but its still on there.

yea, dont get me wrong - their nice seats - but i wouldnt pay much extra for them from factory - maybe £300 or so tops. They certainly are not worth the extra £1200 or whatever they were when new.

You would be better off getting R32 seats as someone said above.

Recaro's in the rear are pointless and doubt the Isofix seats would fit.

Re fun's they are the worst looking, most basic ricaro's I have ever seen.

I sould go and get some form Deamon Teaves or someone and have a full retrim to match as not a great fan of the black cloth (looks cheap imho) anyway.

The seat in our lasses prevous car-Type R looked and felt much better, the seats are the one thing that lets the LCR down

yea i agree - civic type r front seats are nicer than the Leon's - rear bench was boring....but there we go! I would be tempted to do a leather re-trim if i felt i would keep the car long enough! but judging by my track record...its doubtful! lol

Shite, the recaros in the rear are the best thing about the upgrade! the looks the plums and work a treat!

Type R seats ain't hot, the Aniversary ones are good, but bog standard Type R seats are **** - even compaired to LCR Non-Recaros!

Reviving a slightly elder thread I know, but can anyone point me to a supplier in the UK for Seat Sport accessories such as the seats in the picture?

Thanks in advance... ;)
