This might have been discussed!!

After putting of the agonising thought of having to buy 4 tyres for my leon FR TDi, I got a puncture that was able to get fixed (+ the tyre was nearly illegal). Anyway found an easy to use website that by putting in your reg no, pulls up your tyre requirements with a list of makes and prices, descriptions and recommendations.

I have opted for a mid range tyre. BARUM Bar Bravius FR's (thought the FR in the name was appriopriate!). I know no the best make but they are manufactured by continental and are Fully fitted and balanced for £252!:funk:

Manufacturer's Description:

It’s brand new and it ’ll stay that way for some time.
And it won´t stretch your assets.

The Bravuris is a modern tyre for high-speed vehicles. It boasts an extremely good price-performance ratio.

Mileage Performance and Safety

The Bravuris is a very durable wide tyre offering extremely safe handling in bends. It provides precise grip at high speed and in all weathers.

The Bravuris offers:
precise steering response
... due to solid shoulder lugs and a circumferential central rib.

precise grip at high speed, in all weather
... due to the lateral grooves extending well into the tread centre.

high mileage combined
... due to the optimised tread pattern with the flat belt contour.

Long story short...punch in your post code, select your fitting site, pay and go...

Will let you all know how good the tyres are over the mileage that I cover (400 a week)

I have used mytyres loads and never had any problems, if you click on the word tyres on this post that I have just typed, it automatically takes you to mytyres and some of the proceeds goes to SCN I think.

Found it really good as you pick the place to fit them and schedule yourself in too! Plus was quoted £388 at kwik fit for a similar tyre & thats with a 30% off promotion on your forth tyre!

Tyreshopper is good. Annoyingly found my tyres cheaper on tyreshopper after I'd bought them from National Tyres (who undercut mytyres non fitted price).

Could have had them fitted an national as well :doh

These were 225/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.

Really good prices on tyreshopper I was suprised. Mytyres is cheap but you've always got the ball ache of getting them fitted.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news.. but National tyres & Autocare must be part of Tyreshopper because thats the name of the centre where i'm getting mine fitted on saturday. Just ordered of tyre-shopper, so must be an online cheaper version of same company!

Yeah it was the bloke at national tyres who pointed me in the direction of the website - after I'd paid for mine no less.
