Recommended Workshop - Preston Area

Can anyone recommend a good workshop in the preston ( lancashire ) area for major servicing on the 130 TDi ibiza.

Mine will need the cam belt and a major service in a few months and the dealers are looking at silly money.

What about AwesomeGti in Irlam or is that to much of a distance? Guess its a 60k service.

You could try here. Before getting my Ibiza I used to take my car to them whenever I needed a mechanic. Ken the owner is really down to earth and won't rip you off. If you give them a ring they should be able to give you a quote over the phone. About 5 years ago they did a belt change on my old diesel fiesta and it was about £130. Don't expct much in the way of a loan car though....

I should probably mention they aren't a VAG specialist, just a good mechanic

ADS is a good place! They're based on the technology park near the uni. Dave or Frank you need to ask for, trying to find their business card for their number. They sorted my Ibiza out with a remap (REVo) but I'm sure I saw something about VAG servicing!!!
