Red DVD Headunit

Looking at getting one of these, budget is under £300..

Needs to be red illuminated
DVD player
Single or Double DIN not fussed


Ive seen many really nice ones, the JVC KD-AVX22 is what i really really want but is lit up blue, or can that be changed? In the settings or by stripping it down?
The other choice is a Beat 500, but having never heard of Beat i dont know whether to trust them or not. But does look very OEM

What about the Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD

I know it's 50 over your budget, but does look quite sexy and you can customise the Illumination on both the buttons and the screen, and as an extra, has an Ipod direct control, I've got the same sort of thing and highly rate it, very clear screen

P.S and you don't need to spend more on a cage to fit it, Pioneer supplies their own with it, but if a cage is needed, you can have mine for cheap

i had the avx22, the screen can be changed from blue to red to match everything else.

i sold the unit though because it was awkward to use when driving

Looked at that unit but the buttons are blue/white so didnt fancy it

Ended up going for a Alpine 9887 with all the addons

Now just to look at alpine subs/speakers/amps/changers

Go for Ascendant Audio subs, they'll kick you like a mule and still have great sound quality!
