Suppose to be good news on this today. Kraken the software company that Octopus owns / partner that runs their systems, Vag have agreed that their API can now be integrated so there will be standardisation and glitches wont occur. Apparently VAG were also leaving Home Assistant people unsupported as well.

So the story is according to a Skoda post on a Facebook site, Vag will now behave themselves and not remove features. Proof is in the pudding. One suspects the failures are related to the systems not integrating and buck passing between the software houses. Octopus unavailable to control charging if Vag closes the controls down... randomly via software changes. They are going to behave themselves now is the thrush of the agreement.

Might have a bearing on the original post on the thread. If Octopus can't control charging then its not going to pick up the other slots outside the night time charging periods where Octopus effectively have a spot sale when there is too much electricity on the grid.
