Hi guys,
I know this is a strange question and any answers will be wild stabs in the dark but i had my LCR serviced recently and told my rear pads were '90% worn', now...
roughly how many miles do i have left on them? ie how many miles do you get out of brand new rear pads? and also are there wear indicators on rear pads?

thanks loads in advance.

hi theres no wear indicators on them, a new set should last 40k plus there only cheap and easy to change but if you were to do it yourself you will have to borrow a wind back tool (caliper piston needs winding back)
suprised they never changed them on the service as they must be close to the metal

hop this helps:)

cool cheers guys, thats kind of what i thought :(
the thing is i'm going across europe on fri and expect to be driving around 1K miles so dont want them to die on me...
I think i'll drop into the stealers on the way home from work 2moz and get them checked.
If i did decide to change them shall i just buy the pads from stealers or will it be alot cheaper going to a retailer or somewhere else?
oh and one other thing, am i right in thinking new tyres come with 6mm of tread?
