i have heard many people say the 250bhp is the limit, but what is this based on? who calculated that the KO3s is not capable of flowing that much air?

More than likely Borg warner KKK when they manufactured and designed the turbo;)

Just the same way max flow rate from K04 is 280bhp.

Jabba Remap

Got a similar job done to my own 225 LCR at Jabba last month.

Totally standard - running on 99 octane - it got 228 Bhp. So I guess their dyno could over egg a bit. But I think a standard LCR is 222Bhp and 99 fuel adds a few Bhp - so who knows for sure?

I then had a new Bailey DV fitted, Jabba Induction Kit and Filter, plus a 'Custom' dyno remap, optimised for only use with 99 octane.

I ended up with 274 Bhp (at the fly wheel) and 381 Nm max torque (at the fly wheel) according to their Dyno readout.

Now I don't know if their equipment is 100% accurate but it seems my results back up the original post on this thread at least. My car is also less than 2 years old and has had only 20K of un-thashed miles so far. Hence it probably is producing about as much as any 1.8t lump will with the re-mapped turbo that it has.

How quick is it? Well my mate (who drives a Carrera 4S - 350Bhp) drove it and was mightly impressed - so I think that says it all. The most impressive thing was the almost total lack of lag and the fact it pulls strongly in 5/6th gear even when you are well over 110 mph. (This was tested on a private road you understand!)

My standard 225 cupra R produced 231 Bhp on the rollers with 99 ron fuel. 274bhp seems a fair reading for a remap

as in, as soon as someone posts up with their RR results...and IMO reasonably realistic ones, straight away someone ALWAYS jumps in and completely rubbishes the result that person has got

seen it so many times across the Leon and the Ibiza sections, and its a culture or attitude which is just getting rediculous on these forums

fair enough, if the guy had said he got 300bhp+ then I could understand, but 276bhp is more than reasonable

What I dont understand is, is when someone posts their results up, there are "certain" people on here to choose not to believe the BHP claims and write them off everytime with "well its a dyno lottery mate"....well if thats the case, then what is the sodding point of having RR's if people choose to disbelieve perfectly reasonable results?!!!![:@]

rant over!

 i'M GOING TO SPEND THA DOOBA ! Reeem-m-m-aaap pap pa pap! LOvely jubberly ldubl e:)

So is it best to go to people like Jabba or go to a company like awesome gti or even Forge who will do a remap for about £250??? Is it really worth the extra £200 from Jabba?

I think so yes with out a doubt it is IMO , had a "play" with a few other leons with different maps so hybrid turbos and pulled from them ,
