APR dont do the diesel tuning.

They do

APR is pleased to present the ultimate engine control unit (ECU) upgrade for the 2.0 TDI 8v PD, 16v PD and 16v CR. APR’s ECU upgrade is available is conveniently flashed to the vehicle’s factory ECU through the OBD-II port without any physical modification to the factory ECU. APR’s EMCS functionality puts the control of the engine’s operation at your fingertips and allows for additional features and options to be installed to the OEM ECU on select vehicles.

The ECU’s Bosch EDC engine management system is responsible for proper operation of the engine during constantly changing environmental and load conditions. With built in compensational data for environmental variables and varying load conditions, the factory ECU is far more complex and intelligent than units found in other vehicle makes and marques.

APR's Calibration Engineers spent months calibrating the engine management system, including many hours of chassis dyno development. With a thorough understanding of the ECU’s torque structure, APR’s Calibration Engineers properly increased engine load to produce more power and torque across the entire power band. APR’s ECU Upgrade increases boost pressure, optimizes fuel injection and more to produce higher output!

APR’s ECU Upgrades provides an excellent leap in horsepower and torque while retaining OEM knock control sensitivity and other built in safety features. This results in an exciting and powerful upgrade.

Had mine Revo'd and I'm pretty happy, no probs and since having it done about 6 months ago.

Just remember that it won't feel the same as the PD after that was remapped, as the torque is much more linear on the CR engine. Straight after mine was done I wasn't that impressed if I'm being honest, but that's because in my head I was expecting the same massive pull as my ibiza FR PD130 after that had after been remapped.

The more I drove it the quicker I actually realised it is, it's very easy to go quick without noticing it. I've also had the opportunity to compare acceleration against other cars, like a 2.5 Focus ST, and been pretty impressed with my CR170 :)

How have quantum appeared alongside Revo and Apr?

Revo's 170 cr software is a masterpiece. widely regarded as the best and I have to say that having driven cars with other software I agree.

Quantum.... :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Above advice is pretty much spot on, Revo's CR170 software is very good

Yeah stage 1 is what I had, I did it when there was a sale on so got 20% off and paid £399 in total. The price on the website in £399 excluding VAT so you'll will be £478.80 including VAT.

Wow seems a lot of money for a remap now they have code for ob port would understand if they had to take ecu out

Yeah I'm with MJ, remember lots of R&D goes into their remaps.

I'd probably always wait for the 20% discount that they do, which is what I did with mine. I know they always do it at the end of the year, not sure if they do it at any other times.

They usually do a summer and winter sale, sometimes an end of year one too.

and just to clarify - i am in no way affiliated with Revo technik what so ever.

I personally wouldn't go near any remapping company that caters for every type/manufacturer of vehicle under the sun.

I also believe in getting what you pay for
