That's my personal opinion mate and i'm entitled to it.

Revo have branched out to Ford maps yes, but they offer software for 3 different models covering 4 engines according to their website, not every petrol & diesel engine variation, for every model, from every manufacturer under the sun. How much R&D actually goes in to each of those maps compared to the likes of APR, REVO etc. or those that properly custom map a car, such as R-Tech, Badger 5, Unicorn, Stealth etc etc.?

None - a quick 10% here, 20% there, take their money and send them on their way. Plenty of those outfits around my way, no end of problems that they try to keep quiet and away from the internet.

They'd be better off buying maps from a decent file supplier (tried and tested maps following R&D & proper mapping) but they don't - more money to be had by 'writing a custom bespoke (b0ll0x) map themselves'

And i'm not talking about those people who can actually properly write a map and understand what they are doing, i refer to those outfits that spend a few thousand on tools and some software, and suddenly they are engine remapping/tuning specialists

Yes you entitled to an opinion, not getting into one of these debates either, good thing about the likes of Revo is there name, mention it and everyone jumps on the band wagon, it's like apr only rate there hardware which is a work of art, there maps on the other hand do nothing for me, seen endless flaws and problems in there software and sure them selves will tell you that' or will they, check sum errors and so on, all anyone needs to do is alittle research when choosing a map, I'm very confident in mine, there's also More bhp, shark, stattler, giac, big fish tuning, badger 5, R-tech I'd all consider before diving into the likes or apr and revo

Revo started flashing fords because just like porsche - they use the same ecu's and map packs in the software. In fords case they use the same bosch med9 that the tfsi uses.

I wouldn't completely slate multi brand mapping companies BUT finding a good one that can cater for all brands is very few and far between and I'd personally only ever recommend 1.
