Remap Question!

Next Q is encrypted ECU's. Did they have to remove the ECU and open it to map it? If so then a dealer could very quickly see if it has been mapped

Most use factory glue etc so it looks like it hasn't been touched but yeah defiantly more of a risk then a simple flash

not to sure if i want to be having the ECU opened up inthe first year. Im all for an OBD port flash, but not actually opening the ECU. step to far for a new car i think.

Will wait till all the gremlins are confirmed to be gone i think. unless someone else can get around the encryption

Had a look on Jabbasport's website and it doesnt list the Mk 5 Ibiza? I guess they could do a custom map though.

i emailed them and they can map it no issues. obviously havent updated the website yet

what sort of figures are we talking? iv heard good things about jabbasport, especially on older model 'beezers.

theyare all in the same ball park as revo from what i gather, ie 210-220Hp. thing is if you go for a custom you could have more say on the torque output, whereas with revo you get the torque whether you want it or not

The torque figues on the Revo is around 300Nm so just about right IMO.

What's is the price of the revo ? Is it standard throughout dealers.
My local seat dealer to revo but would u advise going somewhere with a rolling road?

No a dealer can put it on without a rolling road. Its generic software designed for a standard car.

400£ plus VAT so £480 I would definatly go for it if your local dealer is also revo dealer
