IMO i wouldnt any touch my car unless i done a check on they rep and previous customer satifaction.
You pay for what you get.

Personally, id pay a little more and go with one of the forum sponsors. “diesel cars” audi TT ? You what!? Looks like they know there stuff!! :cartman:

I personally stay clear of any remaps on flea bay, they tend to vanish once you car goes wrong.

Tread carefully!!! Awesome are doing the APR on offer at the mo so give them a bell, i wouldn`t risk it but not my brass, let us know how you get on if you take the plunge .

Mate, i expect your car is one of the most valuable items you own?
If so, don't just pay for the cheapest as it's normally the quickest way to screw your car, and cost you more. If these guys were any good, they would have a website, a fixed company address and a landline number.
If your still not sure, then take a look at this thread below, and see why most people on here would advise you to avoid Ebay Maps....

If you still want one after all that, then i wish you luck ;)

If the worst that could happen was no gain then i`d say give it a go but if your ecu goes bang and is fecked after 200 miles i bet its not there fault if you know what i mean?

Fair enough, you've looked into it and set your mind on the cheapest you can find. Hope it is a good map and your car suffers no damage or ill health, but if it does i want to be the first to say TOLD YOU SO! :p
Good luck :)

I Had No Intentions Of Rushing To Buy This, I Was Putting The Feelers Out To See If Anyone Had Any Experiences With This, I Know That Cheaper Is Usaullt Crapper, But You Never Know Unless You Ask Eh?

So Whats The Best Vfm Remap Then?

Without Opening A Whole Can O Worms On The Remapping Thing

Value for money has to come down to your budget.
If you've got £500 to spend, then you could get a map from the bigger names like Custom-code, or Revo to name but two.
If your budget is a bit tighter, then some of the smaller companys like Bell Autos, or Performance Torque can offer you roughly the same, but for slightly less. Most tuners try and acheive the maximum from the car without putting more strain than they need to, so ultimately the peak figures are very similair, so this makes choosing tougher.
However, most tuners have different ideas about how a map delivers its power, so one might be very aggresive and deliver power in a surge, and another might be smoother and deliver the power evenly through the rev range.
Then you have to look at distance from your location. No point travelling to cornwall from scotland for a map if there is a couple of dealers closer.
The best place to start your research is in the dealers sections lower down.
Most have contact details and web pages available for more info, and i'll bet that each tuner has at least one thread relating to the same engine that you have, so you can read their thoughts.
Have a good look around and keep asking the Q's and eventually you'll find a company that offers what your looking for, and if your lucky there might be a group buy on meaning you'll get a discount.
