I have a cupra 280 its remapped by apr to 369hp an 464ft/lb.
The clutch is now slipping.
I can get main dealer stuff it would be £225 for the clutch house an plate and £72 for the release bearing then the dual mass flywheel is £400 from seat.
but don't think there's much point in getting the standard stuff if its slipping already on standard.
So I googled clutch kits and found that demon tweeks have some kits phoned them for prices but guy on the phone told me he couldn't find one to fit my car. He said that everywhere he phoned couldn't help me.
I know I could potentially go custom but I don't really want to go down that road unless completely necessary. So I don't know what I can do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Must be somewhere sells something. Try AP racing or Exedy websites. Or any of the traders/sponsors on here. Same kit for a Golf R so there must be a suitable upgrade for you.

Out of interest, what mods have taken it to that power? That torque is excellent.

I've phoned Exedy and they told me they don't make anything for my car yet but they gave me another number so phoned them and got no luck there.
I looked on the AP Racing website but can't find one on there but I'll phone them tomorrow.
The car was standard when I got it remapped in April/May last year, but since then I've bought a VW racing panel filter and I've had one of the silencers removed an replaced with a straight bit of pipe.

How many miles did you drive with the remap?
I know a few over here and they have a remap up to 495 Ps and 500 Nm without any problems with the clutch for 15K+ miles.

464 lb /ft from a remap? Do you mean 364 lb /ft?

Yeah, so you have a remap a panel filter and an exhaust? Sorry but no way do you have over 400 lb /ft of torque let alone over 450 lb /ft with those mods, the dyno is lying to you. That would be a 200 lb /ft gain and that's not possible.

Maybe somebody can weigh in, but it's impossible to get a gain of over 200 lb /ft from only a remap isn't it?? Am I missing something? What other mods do you have?

Something doesn't seem right. Or VW built an engine and have it detuned by 50%.

My Impreza gained 50 lbsft from exhaust, fueling, induction and a map.

Am just showing you what the dyno told me ,I can't say how accurate the dyno was that day.
It's possible it could be nm ,464 nm would be 342ft/lbs so could be that.
anyway am still needing a clutch going to phone vrs Northampton to see what they say

Just thought I'd post and tell you the Golf R manual suffers the same problem, stock though whereby after 5000 miles the clutch slips and fails as the dual mass flywheel can't handle the torque. Power isn't a provlem. By tuning, it has caused an increased deteriaton. Not sure how you did 12k tho aha

New heavy duty flywheel if sourced would fix the problem

So even if I get a stronger clutch will I need to get a better flywheel?

I believe so, the DSG's don't suffer but do require a gearbox remap. Perhaps changing when the torque is delivered with APR or even if they've heard of any cases with manuals will clear some light. Last resort, remove the tuning :(
