lack of activation code
lack of CC stalk
plus its a chip

Looks like a chip not an ECU so I assume you would have to crack the ECU open and solder it in........sounds like a recipe for disaster

That's what I was thinking. I know you often see Ibiza boys selling their ECU's, but they are selling the entire thing, right? Not just one chip.

so, stay clear folks. Just thought it may have been some use to someone. Oh well. Get my car back next week, having alsorts of goodies fitted to it, cant wait, been saving for ages to buy them, now just have to fit them.

Then there are security issues which I believe can be sorted with VAGCOM if you know what you are doing

Surrounding the immobiliser I believe which VAG-COM can sort out. Just added hassle though.
